In memory of Carolyn Baldwin There is a song entitled “For Good” that begins “I’ve heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason, bringing something we must learn, And we are led to those who help us most to grow, if we let them…” This song will forever remind me of Carolyn, For she has helped me to grow. To see the beauty in the every day, The gathering of family, The breaking of bread around a picnic table, The warmth of a campfire, The cherishing of children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, And the celebration of birthdays, babies, and graduations. Carolyn saw the beauty and potential in even the most ordinary of things. Her love of rocks will undoubtedly touch us all forever. No longer will we pass by a pile of stones And not think of Carolyn. Every time we trip over a rock in our path we will know that Carolyn is reminding us to slow down and count our everyday blessings. I will learn from her to not take life for granted, To slow down and open my eyes, To see beauty and potential in all of Gods creations, Even the rocks. Thank you Carolyn for helping me to grow. “Because I knew you, I have been changed for good.” Jennifer Murphy
